Chevre (French goatskin)
Alran is arguably the best tannery when it comes to goat skin. Chevre has very high scratch resistance and can handle plenty of wear with very little or no changes to the surface. It has a soft temper, textured but smooth surface and comes in a wide range of vibrant colours.
Calf leather
Calfskin or calf leather is a leather or membrane produced from the hide of a calf, or juvenile domestic cattle. Calfskin is particularly valuable because of its softness and fine grain, as well as durability.
Porosus Crocodile Leather
The Crocodile Niloticus skin, as the name suggests, is sourced from the Nile river. Crocodile Porosus is sourced from Asia or Australia. The second difference is that crocodile skins have a small pore close to the edge of each of the scales, which is a remnant of a hair follicle. Alligators have no pores.

Lizard. The more common of the two Lizard skins, Veranus Niloticus, is used across a variety of Hermès leather goods. It can always be found in trims for the Club Birkin line, and is a go-to lizard source for small accessories and handbags.
